Let's meet our new titleholders! Miss Anaheim 2024 - Sahana Kumar Sahana Kumar is a first-year medical student at UC San Diego with a degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Her talent is vocal performance, which she has trained in since she was four years old. Fun tact: Her father taught her how to pick locks when she was four! Miss Anaheim Hills 2024 - Lexie-Lynn Taylor Lexie-Lynn Taylor is working on her Yoga Therapist certification while performing at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament and serving as Head of Digital Marketing for Orange Kiwi LLC. A vocalist, dancer, and aerial artist, Lexie-Lynn learned the flying trapeze while in Sydney Harbour, Australia, and is proficient on the Lyra, a circus apparatus. Miss Canyon Hills 2024 - Melissa Soong Melissa Soong is a 2021 graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing Analytics Concentration, and Urban Studies Minor. Associate Melissa is a Product Manager L2 (AdTech) at Publicis Sapient and performs ballet en pointe. Miss Anaheim's Teen 2024 - Matia Gonzalez A junior at El Modena High School, Matia is dually enrolled in college courses and has been an honors student since 3rd grade. Co-president of her school's Volunteer Club, Matia has already volunteered 50 hours of her time to worthy causes. Fun fact: Matia started her own lash business at the age of 15! Miss Anaheim Hills' Teen - Kayla Teng Kayla Teng is an 8th grade student at Oxford Academy who hopes to attend Stanford University and pursue a career in science or physics. A teen of many interests, Kayla has sold her art pieces, dances every day, crochets, sings, and plays the guitar. Fun fact: Kayla completed the Intro to Python course with the University of Michigan. Miss Canyon Hills' Teen - Annie Chen Annie Chen is a sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts in the Commercial Dance Conservatory. Annie earned the President's Volunteer Service Award - Gold and is a LA Music Center's Spotlight Merit Award Winner in dance. Fun fact: Annie loves snowboarding and riding rollercoasters. Our 2024 titleholders will compete at the Miss California competition in Visalia in June as at-large delegates. Please follow them on Instagram!

The 2024 Miss Anaheim online competition registration - including the titles of Miss Anaheim, Miss Anaheim Hills, and Miss Canyon Hills and their corresponding Teens - closes on November 4. Once a delegate's registration form is completed and sent to info@missanaheimpageant.org, she will be sent competition materials and an exclusive link to our delegate portal. We are excited to announce our 2024 competition season and a completely revamped competition format! The Miss Anaheim Scholarship Association is now an independent organization dedicated to the sponsorship and preparation of selected at-large delegates who will compete at Miss California and Miss California’s Teen and be actively involved in their communities. Our competition will be conducted virtually; with paperwork, video submissions, and Zoom interviews. No need to travel to compete with us! Our titleholders will receive college scholarships, an at-large sponsorship to compete at the Miss California/Miss California's Teen competition in June 2024, and unlimited preparation for the state competition from our experienced and highly successful preparation team. Once we receive your registration, we will send you a competition packet with everything you need to know to compete. We are now recruiting Miss and Outstanding Teen candidates who will compete for local scholarships and earn the opportunity to compete at the Miss California competition in June 2023 and earn more scholarships. We are excited to announce our 2023 Miss Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, and Canyon Hills and Outstanding Teen competition! We will return to the Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite High School for the competition on Saturday, January 21. 2023. A mandatory dress rehearsal will be held the night before (Friday, January 20) at the same location. We are now recruiting Miss (ages 19 – 26 as of December 31, 2023) and Outstanding Teen (ages 13 as of June 24, 2023 through 18 as of December 31, 2023) candidates for our January 21 competition. The deadline for applications is November 19, 2022. Please complete the downloadable form and return it to info@missanaheimpageant.org as your first step in the application process. The Miss Anaheim Scholarship Program is a local affiliate of the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization. We are a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. REGISTRATION FEE As part of the registration process for our competition, Miss and Teen candidates will need to register on the Miss America website at https://members.missamerica.org/register. There is a yearly registration fee of $35 to compete in Miss America affiliate programs. There is also a local registration fee of $75 each time a Miss candidate competes in a local competition. There is no local registration fee for Teen candidates. PHASES OF COMPETITION Our Miss candidates compete in private interview, eveningwear, social impact pitch/onstage question, and talent (90 seconds). Our Teen candidates compete in private interview, fitness, eveningwear/onstage question, and talent (90-seconds). We follow the judging protocols and rules for the Miss America Organization. AREA ELIGIBILITY MISS - If you live or attend school in Anaheim or attend school or reside in the Anaheim Union High School District area; or attend CSU Fullerton, Fullerton College, or Biola University you are eligible to compete for our local title – Miss Anaheim and our two open titles – Miss Anaheim Hills and Miss Canyon Hills. The Miss California Organization has just approved an open competition for the Miss San Diego Organization. Two "Miss" titles will be awarded: Miss San Diego and Miss San Diego County. Eligible "Miss" candidates from anywhere in California may enter this competition. (Note, the Teen competition remains closed to San Diego County only, and will award only one title.) The competition is set for 2:00 PM on Sunday March 27 at the Young Actors' Theatre (a.k.a. YAT) in San Diego (9620 Campo Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977). All entry requirements (contract, resume, social impact initiative statement, talent music, Miss America local program registration https://shop.missamerica.org/products/miss-america-competition-membership-yearly-subscription, etc.) must be completed no later than March 20.
