Helene (Disbrow) Morris - 2001
Miss Anaheim
As Miss Anaheim 2001, Dr. Helene Disbrow Morris advocated for Arts Education in our Schools. This platform ignited a spark in Helene. Through her community service and involvement in the Miss Anaheim program, Helene found her passion and calling to public education. Now 21 years later, Helene has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and is currently an executive director for the Fullerton School District. In this capacity, Helene oversees a variety of areas such as attendance, Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions, homeless and foster youth, and Social-Emotional Learning. Helene is a National Board Certified Teacher, holds two teaching credentials, earned a Mater of Science in Education Administration from Pepperdine University, and a Doctorate of Education from USC. Today, Helene is still an Anaheim resident and lives in Anaheim Hills with her husband, David, and their faithful dog, Honey. Helene is an avid reader and has taken on running as a new and beloved hobby. In February of 2021, Helene ran one mile for the first time in her life. She kept testing her limits, Helen had run 450 miles and two 5K's. In 2022, Helene's goal is to run 750 miles while also competing in a 10K and possible half marathon. Helene is passionate about exercise, nutrition, mental health, and a personal calling to end suicide. Helene is grounded by her deep faith, family, core values, and commitment to rise before dawn each day and fulfill the divine purposes of her life.
