We are excited to announce our 2023 Miss Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, and Canyon Hills and Outstanding Teen competition! We will return to the Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite High School for the competition on Saturday, January 21. 2023. A mandatory dress rehearsal will be held the night before (Friday, January 20) at the same location.
We are now recruiting Miss (ages 19 – 26 as of December 31, 2023) and Outstanding Teen (ages 13 as of June 24, 2023 through 18 as of December 31, 2023) candidates for our January 21 competition. The deadline for applications is November 19, 2022. Please complete the downloadable form and return it to info@missanaheimpageant.org as your first step in the application process.
The Miss Anaheim Scholarship Program is a local affiliate of the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization. We are a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
REGISTRATION FEE
As part of the registration process for our competition, Miss and Teen candidates will need to register on the Miss America website at https://members.missamerica.org/register. There is a yearly registration fee of $35 to compete in Miss America affiliate programs. There is also a local registration fee of $75 each time a Miss candidate competes in a local competition. There is no local registration fee for Teen candidates.
PHASES OF COMPETITION
Our Miss candidates compete in private interview, eveningwear, social impact pitch/onstage question, and talent (90 seconds). Our Teen candidates compete in private interview, fitness, eveningwear/onstage question, and talent (90-seconds). We follow the judging protocols and rules for the Miss America Organization.
AREA ELIGIBILITY
MISS - If you live or attend school in Anaheim or attend school or reside in the Anaheim Union High School District area; or attend CSU Fullerton, Fullerton College, or Biola University you are eligible to compete for our local title – Miss Anaheim and our two open titles – Miss Anaheim Hills and Miss Canyon Hills. If your live or attend school outside the Anaheim area or our anchor colleges, then you are still eligible to compete with us for the two open titles - Miss Anaheim Hills and Miss Canyon Hills.
TEENS - If you live or attend school in Anaheim or attend school or reside in the Anaheim Union High School District area, you are eligible to compete for our local title – Miss Anaheim’s Outstanding Teen and our two open titles – Miss Anaheim Hills’ Outstanding Teen and Miss Canyon Hills Outstanding Teen. If your live or attend school outside the Anaheim area, then you are still eligible to compete with us for the two open titles - Miss Anaheim Hills’ Outstanding Teen and Miss Canyon Hills Outstanding Teen.
ORIENTATION AND WORKSHOPS
We will begin holding Orientation meetings online on Zoom in October. We will also offer workshops on Zoom, which are free of charge. We will develop a schedule for Orientation meetings and workshops in the next few weeks.
